Jim was given his first “Paint-by-Numbers” kit when he was 7 years old. He continued painting  and eventually graduated with his BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) degree from the University of Notre Dame. And he hasn’t stopped yet!

 

Because it was an educational institution, Jim learned Oil Painting, Drawing, Watercolor, and even sculpture, but has stayed with both watercolor and oil paints as his “go-to” medias, even though they are diametrically opposed style methods.

 

He is also a  published author and illustrator of a series of humorous Childrens Books, “The Tales from the Deep Dark”.

 

It hasn’t mattered what the topic may include, because he is impartial, enjoying still lifes, landscapes, portraits, animal portraits, seascapes, and florals. If he can draw it and give it the correct tonal value, it’s a fair subject.

 

Jim is originally from New York and has been living in Georgia since 1979. He has a wife, 3 wonderful kids and 3 awesome grandchildren. And all are in the metro Atlanta area.
