Sangeeta Lal is a modern artist who creates unique, vibrant pieces of art with silk dyes and paints using natural silk fabric as her canvas. The dyes are steam set, becoming a part of the fabric itself rather than a stiff overlay. The
resultant colors are luminous and the paintings one of a kind works of art. Ranging from contemporary abstracts to bucolic florals, Sangeeta draws her inspiration from nature and often uses color schemes that are eye-catching
and bold. She also enjoys weaving social messages or philosophical musings in her art. Her experimental style reflects how she interprets her thoughts and surroundings.

Sangeeta’s background is in clinical research; however, this artistic avenue provides her a creative outlet and immense joy. She works from her studio in Johns Creek, GA. Her studio is named after Shiuli, a night-flowering jasmine with an enticing fragrance that lingers on through the night.  Her hope is her artwork provides the collector as much joy displaying it as she had creating it.
