I started by career with a degree in Art Education from Georgia Southern University in 1962. After an accident changed my life I picked up the brush again and I continue my art today.

I use watercolors and oils to express and capture varied subject matter from landscapes, people, still life, etc. I capture the subjects with abstraction, creativity and realism by way of impressionism. Much of my work is left for the viewer's interpretation.

I was born of the Georgia country but have traveled extensively. My art projects mysticism, solitude, simplicity and wonder of the countryside and exotic scens from my travels. My art invites the view to imagine and interpret.

I have exhibited at: The Art Place (Mountain Park, GA), Somerby of Alpharetta (Alpharetta, GA), The Mock House (Blairsville, GA), The Alpharetta-Fulton Public Library (Alpharetta, GA), Mittie's Tea Room (Alpharetta, GA). Presently, I am exhibiting at Avalon (Alpharetta, GA).

I sell my work privately at my studio and through Avalon. Please visit my website to view more of my work at simsheathartists.com
